HISTORY OF THE AFRICAN SAFARI The African Safari was born at the turn of the century when the Europeans came out to Africa to hunt big game. Back then, on a typical wildlife safari, the safari members would set up their mobile safari camps in the middle of the bush, and track the wildlife on foot. In the 1930's, Ernest Hemingway wrote a lot about the African safari in his novels. |
